How It Works

For manuscripts:

Please submit a query by filling out the form here. Queries will be answered within 48 business hours. Queries are susceptible to rejection.

By filling out a query, you acknowledge that you understand the Terms of Service that can be found here.

In a response via email, you will receive a quote for your piece. This will include a Editing Services Contract Form filled out and signed by me as the editor. The contract includes the amount of payment due by the end of the service, the payment plan (see below for more information), an estimated date of completion, and the specific terms for your service.

Then you are to sign (electronic signature; or print, sign, and scan) the Editing Services Contract Form in the space provided. Please email the signed contract to me at courtney.luk AT gmail.com.

A 50% down payment is required at this time. Once I receive your down payment, I will start the editing process for your piece. Services may not begin before down payment is received. All payments are done through Venmo; please send to courtneyluk.

I will email you when I have completed editing your piece according to the service you requested. At this time, please send the remaining 50% of your payment via Venmo to courtneyluk.

Once your remaining payment has been received, I will email you your piece as a Word document and, if applicable, another Word document that includes general feedback that pertains to your piece as a whole.

Please note that down payments are non-refundable once your editing service has started. All payments are non-refundable after I send you your edited piece or any feedback.

For essays:

By filling out a request, you acknowledge that you understand the Terms of Service that can be found here.

In a response via email, you will receive a quote for your essay(s). This will include a Editing Services Contract Form filled out and signed by me as the editor. The contract includes the amount of payment due upfront, an estimated date of completion, and the specific terms for your service.

Then you are to sign (electronic signature; or print, sign, and scan) the Editing Services Contract Form in the space provided. Please email the signed contract to me at courtney.luk AT gmail.com.

The full payment is also required at this time. Once I receive your payment, I will start the editing process for your essay(s). Services may not begin before the full payment is received. All payments are done through Venmo; please send to courtneyluk.

Please note that all payments are non-refundable.

Once editing has been completed, I will email you your edited piece as a Word document. If applicable, I will also include another Word document that will include general feedback that pertains to your essay(s) as a whole.
